1. Your Drone's Serial Number: This is a long string of alphanumeric characters usually found on a sticker inside the drone's battery compartment, on the original box, or within the controller's software menu.
2. Your Drone's Exact Weight: If this is a DJI Mini series drone, it is likely under 249 grams. Keep in mind that adding heavy physical modifications (like adding your plastic shell mod) might push it over 250 grams, which legally changes how it must be labeled.
3. A Credit or Debit Card: Registration under Exception for Limited Recreational Operations costs exactly $5.00 and is valid for 3 years.
4. Your Physical Address: The legal address where you reside.
5. An Email Address: You will need to create a profile on the FAA DroneZone website. Use your primary email address so you can receive your printable registration certificate and your FA-assigned registration number (which you must physically label or write onto the outside of your drone).
